When it comes to relatable parenting content, there is no celeb we turn to more than Kristen Bell. In the past year alone, the mother of two has given fans a glimpse of what’s it been like homeschooling her kids and participating in at-home haircuts. Now, she’s pulling back the curtain on her attempt to get her girls to make their own breakfast. Spoiler alert: Things are off to a rocky start.
On Wednesday, the Good Place star shared a photo of what seemed to be two plates (filled with crumbs and graham crackers) on a table. Upon further inspection, and after reading the caption, it became clear that there is more to the story.
“Still trying to train them to make their own breakfast,” she captioned the picture on Instagram. “Haven't nailed it YET...but I see the positives in this picture. They were definitely trying to get different colored foods in their meal, and obviously wanted to make s' mores, but know they are not allowed to touch the stove so at least they are following one rule!”
However, the 39-year-old actress didn’t stop there. Apparently, one of those dishes we mentioned earlier wasn’t a dish at all. “Also the blue plate is a DOG BOWL LID,” she continued. “My kids are philistines.”
Considering her daughters Lincoln and Delta are 7 and 5 years old respectively, it’s possible one of them simply could not reach the plates in the kitchen and opted for the next best thing.
We’d say this was a pretty good effort, especially because it involved chocolate.
