Kristen Bell Just Showed Us All How to Use Instagram ‘Correctly’

For some, Instagram is for sharing selfies and hashtags. For others, it’s all about dog pics (and dogs with dog face filters) and baby bump updates. Kristen Bell, however, has cracked the true way to utilize the platform and it has nothing to do with taking yourself very seriously.

The 38-year-old Good Place star has been vacationing with her husband, Dax Shepard, and daughters, Lincoln (6) and Delta (4), in Michigan and there’s been no shortage of photos of family fun. Bell’s latest post was an Instagram video of herself rocking a one-piece and half French braids while basking in the refreshing comfort of Lake Michigan. She begins to get out of the lake in a Baywatch–esque maneuver that quickly goes wrong.

As you’ll see in the quick video above, the Veronica Mars star hams it up for the camera before tripping and falling. It’s all very silly and fun. It’s also, as Bell pointed out in her caption, “the CORRECT way to use those insta superzooms!”

For those unfamiliar, the “insta superzooms” she references are an Instagram Stories feature that zooms in while playing various kinds of dramatic music. The specific version she chose beautifully complemented her epic fall. But that wasn’t the only thing that caught our attention.

One fan aptly pointed out that Bell is not wearing her water gloves, which is cause for concern. As her husband revealed last year, Bell “hates the feeling of pruney fingers on skin.” So, she began wearing water gloves…until now.

Maybe she only uses them for pools. Maybe she left them at home. Maybe she just didn’t want to ruin the whole influencer vibe of her superzoom. Either way, you keep doing you, K-Bell.
