Kerry Washington Totally Photobombs Viola Davis in Birthday Tribute: ‘How to Get Away with Photobombing’

Ryan Reynolds better take notes, because Kerry Washington just trolled and honored her famous friend, Viola Davis, at the same time.

Yesterday, Washington celebrated Davis’s 56th birthday by sharing a special tribute on her personal Instagram account. The post features the Little Fires Everywhere star jumping into the background of a photo of the Fences star, which she aptly calls: “How to get away with photobombing.”

In the photo, Davis is staring directly at the camera and wearing a gorgeous off-the-shoulder gown. Over her right shoulder is Washington, who’s donning a white peplum dress. It’s clear that Washington snuck into the photo, pursing her lips as she candidly poses behind Davis.

“Both of you—just gorgeous,” one person wrote in the comments. Another added, “Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating [heart emoji].”

The caption read, “How to get away with photobombing a QUEEN. Happy birthday @violadavis, my #TGIT sister! Sending you all the birthday love today.” The Scandal alum is referring to Davis’s show How to Get Away with Murder. Although the series weren’t related, there was a crossover event with their characters Annalise Keating (Davis) and Olivia Pope (Washington).

“I have to tell you, every time we touched on the show, it was static electricity,” Davis said during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Every single time it was Black girl magic on steroids. I’m telling you!”

We could really use more of this iconic duo.
