Kerry Washington Rocks Sheer Black Tory Burch Dress at the 2022 Met Gala

Leave it to Kerry Washingon to completely turn heads at this year’s Met Gala.

Yesterday, the Scandal actress shared a photo slideshow of her “Gilded Age” themed outfit for the 2022 Met Gala on Instagram. In the first photo, she posed solo in her black Tory Burch gown with a corset underneath and matching sheer opera gloves.

The elegant gown had a thigh-high slit, allowing her to show off her black stiletto platform heels. Another photo showed The Little Fires Everywhere star standing next to Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney, who rocked a white gown also crafted by Burch.

Washington wrote in the caption, “A Gilded Glamour Gala [black heart emoji] #MetGala.”

Her followers flocked to the comments section to admire her Met Gala look. “QUEEN,” one person wrote. Another said, “ASSIGNMENT UNDERSTOOD.”

Even some of her celebrity friends had to comment on the show-stopping ensemble. Half & Half alum Essence Atkins said, “Stunning,” with a black heart emoji. Burch herself had to stop and show her love, simply leaving a slew of red heart emojis under the post.

In an earlier post, the 45-year-old actress posted a fun get-ready-with-me video that featured her trustworthy glam squad.

The video starts with Washington opening the door and sporting a blue jumpsuit with blue/white under-eye masks. While the song “Frekum Dress” by Beyoncé plays in the background, she takes viewers on a step-by-step walk-through of her routine. The clip ends with her standing, fully dressed, in the stunning black gown.
