Kelly Ripa’s Jaw Legitimately Dropped When ‘Live’ Guest Revealed Hidden Talent

There’s a good chance Kelly Ripa is still picking her jaw off the floor after yesterday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan.

On Tuesday, producers shared a behind-the-scenes video on the show’s official Instagram page. During the segment, Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, chatted with 14-year-old Zaila Avant-garde, who recently became the first African-American to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. (NBD.)

We could easily go on and on about Avant-garde’s accomplishments, but what really blew us (and Ripa) away was the hidden talent she revealed on Live.

In the video, Ripa is sitting behind her desk, while Seacrest watches from nearby. They’re both staring at Avant-garde, who is juggling three basketballs on the Live set. The teen moves her body to make things more complicated, using her legs as obstacles that only add to the performance.

“I can’t stop watching,” Seacrest says. Meanwhile, Ripa is at a loss for words, staring at Avante-garde with an open mouth.

The caption read, “Incredible!!! Zaila Avant-garde is not only an amazing speller…but an incredible dribbler! #spellingbee #basketball.”

Of course, fans couldn’t get enough of Avant-garde’s hidden talent. One person wrote, “Incredible young lady. She’s going to be a [star emoji.” Another added, “Look at her! Amazing.”

We totally didn’t see this coming.
