Katie Holmes marked her 46th birthday with a heartwarming celebration filled with love from her daughter, Suri.
The actress took to her Instagram Stories on to share a snapshot of a beautiful bouquet of purple roses, revealing that it was a sweet birthday gift from her 18-year-old daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Katie expressed her gratitude in the post, writing, "I am so grateful for all of my blessings, especially my daughter," on the December 18 post.
But the birthday surprises didn’t stop there. Holmes, who is currently starring in the Broadway play Our Town at the Barrymore Theatre, was treated to an extra special moment backstage. Suri and the entire cast and crew of the show surprised her with a serenade of “Happy Birthday.” And, of course, the actress looked effortlessly chic in the clip, rocking loose-fit jeans, a cozy cream sweater, a yellow beanie and black boots.
The Dawson's Creek alum also posted a snap of the delicious birthday feast she enjoyed, including homemade red velvet cake, French fries and falafel.
In addition to all the birthday love from her daughter and co-stars, Holmes reposted a heartfelt birthday message from her sister, Nancy Blaylock, who wrote, "Happy Birthday to this incredible human. You bring joy and inspiration to everyone around you! Love you, my dear sister."
Holmes’s birthday celebration also came on the heels of her standing up for Suri last week, after false reports about Suri’s inheritance began circulating. The mom swiftly shut down the rumors with a message that read, “You can stop making stuff up. Enough.”
With such a beautiful day surrounded by love from family and friends, it’s clear Katie had a birthday to remember. Happy birthday, Katie.
