Just hours after the news broke that Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed their first child together, the Avengers: Endgame star has provided us with a first photo and a name (we didn’t even have to ask).
On Monday, the 41-year-old actor shared a photo of himself and the The Gift of Forgiveness author holding their newborn’s tiny hand.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt [now that’s a name]. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed,” he captioned the post. “Love Katherine and Chris.” Schwarzenegger shared her own post, featuring the same photograph with a similar caption.
Entertainment Tonight broke the couple’s happy news on Sunday evening, with a video from Schwarzenegger’s brother Patrick, who revealed his big sister was now a mom. "They're doing great—just got her a little gift," the 26-year-old said while leaving a market in Santa Barbara, California. In the clip, the actor also gave a thumbs up when congratulated on becoming an uncle.
Pratt and Schwarzenegger revealed that they were expecting their first child back in April, just 10 months after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Montecito, California. This is the second child for the 40-year-old actor, who shares 7-year-old son Jack with ex Anna Faris, and the first child for the author.
We have a feeling Jack and Lyla are going to be the best of friends.
