On Monday, the Princess of Wales and Prince William stepped out for an appearance at the Women’s Institute in Berkshire to commemorate the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

While there, the Prince and Princess of Wales met with members of the WI, the U.K.’s largest women’s group. During the visit, Catherine was photographed doing her signature hair move (see above), which I totally missed at first. The move in question? Tucking her hair behind her ears, something she has been seen doing many times over the years, even dating back to her first official visit to Cambridge in 2012, where she was captured by photographers adjusting her hair as it blew in the wind.

Other examples of Kate doing her famous move include last year’s Wimbledon men’s finals, which marked her return to the public eye after taking a break to focus on her health following her cancer diagnosis. The Princess attended the Wimbledon finals match alongside her daughter, Princess Charlotte, at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, where she was once again captured on camera tucking a piece of hair behind her ears three times, including during the trophy presentation for Team Spain.

She was also spotted doing the same gesture while attending Wimbledon in July 2022, and it appears the move has been passed down, as Prince George emulated his mom by tucking his hair behind his head in June 2024 at the FA Cup final with his dad.
As for her and Prince William’s visit to the Women’s Institute in Berkshire, Kate was dressed stylishly in an Alessandra Rich gray plaid midi dress with an oversized Peter Pan collar, which she paired with gray leather pumps and Kiki McDonough earrings.
