Photographer Shares Never-Before-Seen Portrait of Kate Middleton—And It’s Absolutely Breathtaking

When it comes to the royal family, there’s definitely no shortage of stunning photographs. Whether it’s birthday portraits (I'm still not over Prince Louis’s adorable 7th birthday pics) or regal outings (like that memorable image of King Charles and Prince William at the Service for the Order of the Bath), the royals know how to make a photo op count. And luckily, their photographers are always there to capture the moment.

One of those behind-the-scenes talents is photographer Josh Skinner, who just shared a striking, never-before-seen photo of none other than Kate Middleton—and it’s breathtaking.

Posted on Thursday, May 29, the photo features the Princess of Wales standing outdoors, arms casually crossed, looking directly into the lens. Her piercing green eyes meet the camera with a quiet strength, framed by the lush greenery of trees in the background.

Skinner captioned the image, "Excellent company for a sunny and leafy stroll," and gave a warm thanks to Princess Catherine herself.

Though the image is new to the public, royal watchers quickly recognized the outfit—a forest green sweater layered under a matching jacket—from Kate and Prince William’s visit to the Ardura Community Forest on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. That trip focused on environmental conservation, a cause close to the Princess of Wales’s heart.

It’s not surprising she looks so serene. Princess Catherine has long spoken about the healing power of nature—especially during personal challenges, including her recent cancer treatment. In March, she shared a peaceful Mother’s Day video filled with sweeping shots of trees, rivers and blooming landscapes.
