Under their new royal titles of Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton made a super meaningful trip to Wales earlier this week. The couple made their first stop in Anglesey (the northwest island of Wales), a destination that holds a special place in their hearts.

According to People, the new Prince and Princess of Wales visited RNLI Holyhead Lifeboat Station, where they met various members and volunteers working at the facility.

Even though the royal couple had the opportunity to meet workers and learn about the lifeboat station, their trip to Anglesey held a deeper meaning. The island is where the couple spent their time as newlyweds and as first-time parents. For a few months, the couple lived there with their firstborn son, Prince George.

The lifeboat station is located a few miles away from where the couple once resided. Middleton helped launch the facility with her husband back in 2011, only a couple of months after the pair tied the knot.

This is just one of many important outings the royal couple have undertaken this month. Just a couple of weeks ago, Middleton and William made their first solo appearance since inheriting their new royal titles. They went to Sandringham House, where they saw 30,000 flower bouquets, letters and other tributes dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Definitely a trip for the books.
