Kate Middleton Rocks Blue Shirtdress for Surprise TV Appearance (and It’s Already Out of Stock)

Kate Middleton just made a rare TV appearance and, of course, her floral shirtdress is already sold out. They don’t call it the Middleton Effect for nothing…

Yesterday, the 38-year-old duchess was filmed outside Anmer Hall with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (2). The Cambridge family wore matching outfits, which included a floral midi dress by John Lewis for Middleton.

The Ghost Dress is made of a floral satin material that won’t cling to your curves. (If you know, you know.) The silhouette features a subtle collar, button sleeves and a ruffle hemline.

Although the dress retails for £90 (about $111), it’s currently out of stock in all sizes. Sold out in less than 24 hours? That’s gotta be some sort of record, even for a royal.

The footage showed the Cambridge family wearing matching blue outfits as they applauded healthcare workers who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. Just like Middleton, Princess Charlotte wore an adorable floral frock that ought to be made in adult sizes.

Prince Louis, who turned 2 years old yesterday, opted (as if he had a say in the matter) for a darker version of his dad’s ensemble. Meanwhile, Prince George sported a button-down shirt and trousers. (We just wonder if he threw a tantrum over having to match his younger brother and his dad…)

Leave it to Middleton to make us reconsider our “no online shopping during self-isolation” promise.
