Queen Elizabeth Just Shared a Special Birthday Message for Prince Louis (Complete with Emojis)

First, Prince Charles wished his grandson, Prince Louis, a happy birthday. And now, Queen Elizabeth is jumping on the bandwagon with her own special tribute.

Earlier today, the 94-year-old monarch posted a birthday message on the family’s official Twitter account (@RoyalFamily).

The caption read, “Happy Birthday to Prince Louis [balloon emoji] [cake emoji] HRH is The Queen’s seventh great-grand child. Today he turns two! The photos below were taken by The Duchess of Cambridge earlier this month.”

Prince Louis’s official portraits were released yesterday as an early birthday present for royal aficionados. In addition to the “Instagram vs. Reality” post, the royal family also shared four more photos, all of which feature Prince Louis completing a rainbow art project. The photos were taken by his mom, Kate Middleton.

It read, “Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday! We are pleased to share images ahead of Prince Louis’s second birthday tomorrow, taken by The Duchess this April.”

For the past few weeks, Prince Louis has been self-isolating at the family’s country estate in Sandringham (aka Anmer Hall) with Prince William, Middleton and his two siblings, Prince George (6) and Princess Charlotte (4).

The Duchess of Cambridge previously revealed that “Happy Birthday” is one of Prince Louis’s favorite songs, so we have no doubt that he’s in his element. (Paint-stained clothes, included.)
