Kate Middleton's BFF Named Her Daughter Charlotte, and Is That Even Allowed?

What better way to pay tribute to your bestie Kate Middleton than to...steal her daughter's name for your own? JK, JK...but that is kinda what happened.

Sophie Snuggs, a longtime and very close friend to Middleton, just had her first child, a daughter, with husband Robert Snuggs, according to an announcement in The TimesPeople has reported.

“SNUGGS On 21 June, to Sophie (nee Carter) and Robert, a daughter, Amalia Rose Charlotte,” the notice read. Charlotte! OK, so it isn't the baby girl's first name, but she does share a middle name with Sophie's goddaughter and the duchess's second-born, Princess Charlotte.

And it's probably no coincidence, considering the 4-year-old starred as a page girl in Sophie and Robert's wedding in September 2018.

Sophie has been close to Middleton for many years (and even dated a good friend of the royal couple's, Thomas Van Straubenzee). She has accompanied the duchess and Prince William to the royal family's Christmas gatherings at Sandringham. She was also invited to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding in May of the same year.

So, will her first born son have the name George or Louis mixed in somewhere? Then we'd really start to get suspicious...
