Remember that waiting game back in March and April, when we were so sure Meghan Markle was going to give birth to baby Archie at any minute? While Markle was mostly out of the spotlight and on maternity leave, we twiddled our thumbs, nervously checked Twitter for updates and filled our royal-family void with Downton Abbey movie news.
Now, we have new photos of the duchess from those private days during her pregnancy with royal baby Archie, and...WOW, her maternity wear was so chic.
Markle revealed that she had made "quiet visits" over those nine months to her patronage Smart Works, a charity that aids women in finding resources for job interviews. The duchess, who recently announced that she's designing a workwear clothing collection that will benefit the organization, visited the team and the women they empower multiple times during her pregnancy, and just shared the new photos from her visits.
In most of the photos (scroll through the Insta slideshow above to view them all), Markle appears to be wearing the same vintage coat that she stepped out in during her NYC baby shower weekend in February of this year.
In one of the pictures shared to the official @SussexRoyal Instagram, however, Markle is wearing a tweed Gucci dress with black neck ribbon that retails for $3,975. Her burgeoning baby bump is hugged by the non-maternity-wear sheath-style dress.
Yes, this dress, the cause, her guest editor position for British Vogue, it's all so wonderful. But can we pleaseeee get more pics of baby Archie?
