Julia Stiles Cradles Baby Bump on Red Carpet, Revealing She's Pregnant with 2nd Child

Production company A24 is releasing a drama called The Humans on November 24, which is based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name and features high-profile actors ranging from Amy Schumer to Beanie Feldstein. So, when the studio showed a special screening of the film in New York City on Thursday, it's easy to imagine the amount of star power on that red carpet. However, there was one person who caught everyone's attention: Julia Stiles.

The 10 Things I Hate About You actress walked the red carpet in a black, long sleeve dress, and while posing for photos, Stiles cradled a surprise baby bump with one of her arms, revealing that she is pregnant with her second child. The news was confirmed to Us Weekly by one of Stiles's representatives.

This will be the second child between Stiles and her husband, Preston J. Cook.

The 40-year-old actress met her husband while he was working as a camera assistant on her 2015 thriller Blackway. Not long after, the pair started dating and Stiles announced their engagement in January of 2016. When they tied the knot in September of 2017, Stiles was expecting their first child, and she made a cheeky Instagram post, saying, “Who doesn't love a shotgun wedding?”

Stiles gave birth to their son, Strummer Newcomb Cook, in October of 2017 and she announced the news with a photo of Strummer holding her finger, along with a caption that said, “Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping to bring this utter joy into our lives. ‘Hello, World!’”

Now it looks like Strummer is about to become a big brother. Congrats to the whole family!
