Listen up, Tayshia Adams: JoJo Fletcher is sharing advice on how to get the most out of The Bachelorette experience.

PureWow recently sat down for an exclusive interview with the former Bachelorette, 29, who is promoting her all-new partnership with HomeGoods. While discussing the upcoming season of the popular dating show, Fletcher applauded Adams for being so courageous.

“It seems [Tayshia] is jumping into a completely new scenario,” she told PureWow. “I can’t even imagine getting a call while you’re living your normal life that says, ‘Hey, would you want to be the Bachelorette?’”

Since Adams is likely experiencing a “whirlwind of emotions,” Fletcher shared advice for the new Bachelorette, adding, “Take a moment. Appreciate where you’re at and be excited for what’s to come. Try not to get too overwhelmed.”

Fletcher went on to say that her one regret from season 12 was that she didn’t take enough time to enjoy her role.

“Don’t get so caught up in the process, because I think one of the things that I did during my season is I focused too much on filming,” she explained. “The whole filming thing is a lot. Things move super fast, and I didn’t take the time to really enjoy those moments that were super meaningful to me. You know, everything gets so cluttered up in your head.”

Fletcher also revealed that she was just as blindsided as we were when ABC announced that Adams is replacing Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette.

“That show throws everything at you,” she said with a laugh. “I’m so curious. I have so many questions. I was excited for Clare, and I don’t even know what happened, but now I’m even more excited for Tayshia.”
