Fans Are Totally Confused by This Week's Episode of ‘Roseanne’ & For Good Reason

If Tuesday night’s episode of Roseanne left you scratching your head in confusion, welcome to the party.

The hit ABC series aired a brand-new episode this week, titled “No Country for Old Women.” It features an argument between Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) over whether their mother, Bev (Estelle Parsons), should live at the Conners or Jackie’s apartment, where she conveniently has a spare bedroom.

But not so fast. Social media immediately blew up with questions about Jackie’s living situation, considering the character previously lived in a house.

While some Twitter users stated the obvious, writing, “Apartment? I thought Jackie had a house.” Others didn’t hold back on asking for answers: “Why does Jackie have an apartment? What happened to her house? And where the hell is Andy?!”

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve questioned the consistency of Jackie’s storyline. In season six, Jackie got knocked up by Fred Oakland (Michael O’Keefe) and gave birth to a son, Andy Harris, who is mysteriously MIA from the reboot.

Talk about mixed emotions. Roseanne airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
