Hoda Kotb Screams Words of Support from the Olympic Stands After Simone Biles Drops Out

Hoda Kotb might just be the USA gymnastics team’s biggest fan.

On Tuesday, the Today host showed her support from the stands at the Tokyo Olympics before and after Simone Biles’s withdrawal from the team event.

Unfortunately, Biles withdrew from the women's team gymnastics final after a difficult turn on the vault. “Simone Biles has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions,” the US Gymnastics team revealed in a statement.

Following her exit, the 24-year-old gymnast watched from the sidleines as her teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Grace McCallum competed in the rest of the finals.

Per The New York Times, while Team USA was preparing to perform on the balance beam, Kotb yelled out, “I love you, Simone!” She turned to the crowd and said, “Y’all love Simone Biles!” before Biles responded, “I love you, too, thank you!”’

Kotb’s praises didn’t stop there. “Turn it out for Simone,” the TV personality screamed from the stands toward the team at Tokyo’s Ariake Gymnastics Centre per Today. “Love you Suni and Jordan and Grace, too. Go get ‘em!”
