Hallmark Is Airing 2 New Holiday Movies Far Sooner Than Expected

Christmas came sooner than expected thanks to Hallmark’s early bird streaming schedule.

The network just announced that its first two holiday movies will premiere in—wait for it—July. (That’s next month, people.)

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel will kick things off on July 7 at 9 p.m. with the premiere of Christmas Camp, starring Lily Anne Harrison and Bobby Campo. Then on July 13 at 8 p.m, Hallmark Channel will debut A Merry Christmas Match, which stars Ashley Newbrough and Kyle Dean Massey.

The news comes just two months after the network and its sister channel announced they’ll be airing a record-breaking 40 original holiday movies this year.

Hallmark will kick things off in July with the launch of its halfway to the holidays campaign, Keepsake Christmas. The network will then celebrate the tenth anniversary of  Countdown to Christmas beginning October 25.

In addition to Christmas Camp and A Merry Christmas Match, the 2019 slate also includes The Christmas Song (Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf) and Holiday for Heroes (Melissa Claire Egan and Marc Blucas). Blake Shelton is also executive producing another film, similar to last year’s Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas

Let the countdown begin.
