Hallmark Will Air a Record-Breaking Number of Holiday Movies in 2019

Clear your schedules, ladies and gents. Hallmark is celebrating the fast-approaching holiday season (*sigh*) with a record-breaking number of Christmas movies.

That’s right, the network and its sister channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, will air 40—we repeat, 40—new films in 2019, according to Entertainment Weekly. The Hallmark Channel will broadcast 24 of the new Christmas movies, while HMM will air the other 16.

The network will kick things off in July with the launch of its halfway to the holidays campaign, Keepsake Christmas. Hallmark will then celebrate the tenth anniversary of Countdown to Christmas beginning October 25.

The announcement marks a new record for Hallmark, which previously set the bar at 38 flicks. Over the last ten years, the two networks have aired a whopping 176 original films, meaning this year’s batch will take them past the 200 mark. (#Bless)

The 2019 slate has loads of familiar faces, including The Christmas Song (Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf) and Holiday for Heroes (Melissa Claire Egan and Marc Blucas). Blake Shelton is also executive producing another film, similar to last year’s Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas.

Guess our holiday season will be filled with stalker neighbors, creepy bosses and Christmas vacations gone awry. (On-screen, obviously.)
