Well, it looks like actress Brianne Howey has one more thing in common with her onscreen character from the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia: being a mom.
On Instagram, the 33-year-old actress posted a picture taken moments after she welcomed her first child. In the snap, Howey is smiling while laying in a hospital bed and holding her newborn baby in her arms.
In the caption, she wrote, “My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love,” with a yellow heart emoji.
One of the most liked comments on the post came from Howey’s Ginny & Georgia co-star, Antonia Gentry, who wrote, “OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS.” Actress Sara Waisglass (aka Maxine Baker on the show) also left a comment that said, “Sobbing. Congratulations Mama!!!”
Back in March, Howey announced her pregnancy by posting a photo of herself showing off her bump on Instagram. In the photo, the Ginny & Georgia star is wearing a long brown maxi dress and her round belly is on full display.
“@boss show with my forever new +1,” she wrote in the caption. “Thanks for having us! Loved every second of the new collection #hugoboss.”
While Howey and her husband, Matt Ziering, only recently welcomed their first child together, they tied the knot back in July 2021. Per Los Angeles Magazine, the couple first met each other at a bar, and they continued to see one another due to having mutual friends.
Back in February, the California-born actress celebrated their love by sharing photos taken on their wedding day, where she wore a beautifully crafted white dress while Ziering donned a navy blue tailored suit. As for the caption, she simply wrote: “XO.”
