The ‘Game of Thrones’ Series Finale Photos Are Here, and a New Reign of Terror Has Begun

Forget winter. The end is HERE, and we're so not ready for the final episode of Game of Thrones.

HBO just released the last GoT promo photos ever, and while the Battle of King's Landing is finally over, we still have a Mad Queen Dany to contend with. Last Sunday, we saw what happens when the most powerful person in Westeros feels betrayed by those closest to her. Daenerys let her fury rain down on King's Landing, decimating the city and its people, burning her former adviser Varys to ash, and destroying Cersei and Jaime in the rubble of the Red Keep. Hell hath no fury like an aunt scorned.

Now, we've arrived at the very last episode of the very last season of the most epic show on TV, and are we sad from the shoddy writing of the past few installments, or are we just depressed it's all coming to an end? Whatever the case, these two new photos from the sixth and last episode have us on edge.

Not snow. Ash. People ash. People-burned-alive ASH. As Drogon's fires still burn throughout King's Landing, Daenerys stands on the steps of...whatever's left? The Unsullied seem to have multiplied (when did they get so many extra people?!) and it's all feeling very post-apocalyptic.

Our boy Tyrion looks to be in serious trouble, because Daenerys told him the next time he messes up will be his last. We're just hoping he has a trick up his sleeve when the Dragon Queen finds out he let his brother Jaime escape to be with Cersei for their final moments.
