Prepare your tastebuds, because Disney is sending them on a magic carpet ride with a new Aladdin-inspired mini-cake.
Available only at Amorette’s Patisserie (a high-end pastry shop in Town Center at Disney Springs), the beautiful petit cake was announced in a post from Disney Springs’s Instagram on Monday. And it really is almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.
“Introducing the new Aladdin-inspired petit cake featuring layers of Almond Chiffon cake with Amoretto Simple Syrup, Fig Pate de Fruit, 5 Spice mousse, Almond Pecan Granola, and Golden Raisin Jam,” the caption reads. Now that sounds fancy enough for a prince, princess or sultan.
The dessert is the same color as Princess Jasmine’s outfit and is topped with an intricately detailed fondant magic carpet. In addition, the bottom of the cupcake is wrapped with a purple ribbon design and completed with a golden magic lamp.
And while the cake may seem like a lot, a review on the Disney Food Blog says all of the flavors come together beautifully. Looks like we will have to give this one a try for ourselves.
Aladdin-inspired items (this MAC x Aladdin makeup collection, for example) are popping up all over in anticipation of the release of the live action film starring Will Smith (Genie), Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine).
The caption said it best: This little cake is seriously “shining, shimmering and splendid.”
