Game of Thrones is back (haven’t you heard?), and we finally discovered the perfect beverage to sip while savoring the final two episodes. In honor of the impending warm-weather season, Starbucks has released a summer menu with a lineup of new and returning creations you’ll keep ordering from now through Labor Day. One of these new beverages? An Instagram-worthy Dragon Drink that has Khaleesi written all over it.
Giving a whole new meaning to “pretty in pink,” this iced drink gets its summery hue from a combination of mango juice, dragon fruit juice and coconut milk (yum!). And even though pink might not be Daenerys’s favorite shade, we’re betting the Mother of Dragons would be all over this beverage (ya know, if Westeros had a Starbucks).
In addition to the Dragon Drink, Starbucks is also bringing back the beloved S'mores Frappuccino for a limited time. (Because what’s more summery than a campfire s’more?) The company also announced the return of two other fan-favorite fraps that will now be permanent fixtures on the menu: the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino and the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino. Two new “picnic-worthy” lunch options will also be available this summer in the form of a grilled cheese sandwich made with “a three-cheese blend melted between buttery, toasted sourdough bread” and a Baja black bean veggie wrap made with “black beans, salsa slaw and mixed veggies in a tortilla wrap, with over half a cup of vegetables.” Sign us up for that wrap!
All of these items are now available at your local Starbucks. In the wise words of Daenerys, “No one will take my dragon (fruit drink).”
