Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it'll be off to the theaters we go when Snow White arrives on March 21, 2025. However, while it will be quite a bit before we get to see the live-action adaptation of Disney’s first-ever full-length animated film, we've now got a first look to help tide us over.

On Friday, October 27, the film studio released the first image from the film, which sees star Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) totally transformed into the titular princess. In the photo, she sits inside a cottage encircled by her seven dwarfs—Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy.

This photo was a treat to fans, given that the film's release date was just moved back a year. Originally, Snow White was supposed to hit theaters on March 22, 2024, but due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, the film was pushed to its new release date of March 21, 2025.

In the movie, Zegler stars alongside Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), who will portray the Evil Queen. Other cast members include Andrew Burnap as Jonathan and Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman.

Snow White is being directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) with a screenplay by Greta Gerwig (Barbie) and Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl on the Train).

This is the latest installment in Disney’s effort to make live-action adaptations of its animated classics. In the past few years, we've seen the release of The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Wendy and Pinocchio, and in 2024, a prequel to the live-action Lion King is set to hit theaters, titled Mufasa: The Lion King.

It's been almost 90 years since the animated Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs hit theaters in 1937, where it was a box office success and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Musical Score.

Based on the Grimm Brothers’s fairy tale “Snow White,” the 1937 film held the record for highest-grossing animated film for 55 years, until the title was taken by Aladdin in 1993.

We're wishing (we're wishing) for more pics from this film ASAP.
