The plot of This Is Us often jumps between past and present, but season two is going to have a whole lot more of that ’70s nostalgia. Debra Jo Rupp, who played the quirky mom Kitty Forman on That ’70s Show, is officially joining season two of the hit NBC family drama.

Rupp will play a social worker named Linda who assists Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and his wife, Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), on their journey to adopt a child. According to series creator Dan Fogelman, the actress will appear in multiple episodes throughout season two.

We first learned of Randall and Beth's desire to adopt during the season one finale, and season two promises to further explore the couple’s future as they cope with William’s passing and Randall’s newfound fascination with becoming a family of five.

With a major guest-star lineup including Ron Cephas Jones, Sylvester Stallone and Debra Jo Rupp, the season two premiere of This Is Us on September 26 can’t come soon enough. Only 39 more days...
