Colin Lawrence Just Shared This BTS Photo from the Early Days of Filming ‘Virgin River’

We are *huge* fans of the Netflix series Virgin River. And if that sounds like an exaggeration, just check out our profiles on the different actors or our outline of all the mistakes viewers probably missed (if they haven't rewatched the show multiple times already, like us).

But we're not the only ones who are obsessed with this series. The third season premiered a couple weeks ago, but the show is still sitting comfortably in the #1 spot on Netflix's list of top TV shows. The romantic drama based on Robyn Carr's series of books has become a major hit and raked in millions of viewers on the streaming site. Now, one of the main stars is reflecting on the show's success by pulling out a rare behind-the-scenes shot from the early days of filming.

Colin Lawrence, who you might know better as John "Preacher" Middleton, posted a selfie he took while on set. He captioned it: “Season one of Virgin River sitting in hair and make up wondering what would become of our little show. Well.....#fbf #bts #virginriverseries #virginriver #netflix @netflix @virginriverseries.”

Before Lawrence nabbed a lead role on Virgin River, the actor starred in a wide variety of different parts. As we recently discovered, the London-born star has been in everything from Battlestar Galactica to Riverdale. He even made an appearance in the second Fifty Shades of Grey film, alongside his wife, Lucia Waters.

While Lawrence may not have known it back then, there's no denying that Virgin River is a runaway success. As one commenter put it: “Virgin river is blowing off the roof.” Another said, “We love all you guys ♥️♥️♥️.”

As we wait for Netflix to confirm a fourth season, we'll just enjoy this great behind-the-scenes photo in the meantime.
