Clare Crawley Already Eliminated Several ‘Bachelorette’ Contestants

clare crawley bachelorette eliminated men

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Production on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette just recently resumed after being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although ABC previously released a list of men that will vie for the 39-year-old’s heart, there’s a good chance we’ll never see some of their faces on TV.

As it turns out, ABC invited 42 (!) suitors to meet Crawley, which included 10 alternates. So, even though the network had only 32 spots on the show, they brought in additional men to add more variety and then sent them home before the filming began. Ouch.

As E! News points out, the evidence is right in front of us. Since contestants are required to set their social media accounts to “private” during filming, we can tell who’s no longer in the running based on the status of their Instagram pages.

For example, Alex Brusiloff made his Instagram page public this week. He also shared a photo of his two dogs with a super-telling caption, which read: “At least these two won’t ghost me.”

Another contestant named Josh Elledge returned to social media and even described his experience on his Instagram Story.

“So thankful for everyone’s support throughout this crazy journey,” he said. “At the last minute, I was chosen not to be a part of this season’s cast. I am choosing to focus on the things I can control and look towards the future. Some things are just not meant to be, and I know there is a bigger purpose out there for me. Your messages and love mean the world to me.”

Tien Yang also confirmed he didn’t make the cast when someone commented on his latest Instagram photo, writing, “Really disappointed that you’re not going to be on Clare’s season. It would’ve been nice to see Asian representation in the bachelor pool.” Yang’s response? “Agreed, I’m rooting for Joe! I guess 1 of 32 slots is progress lol.”
