Chrissy Teigen Just Proved Barbiecore Isn’t Going Anywhere (and I'm Taking Notes)

It's here to stay

It’s been almost two years since Barbiecore first exploded across red carpets, runways and Instagram feeds. Every shade of pink imaginable—bubblegum, fuchsia, blush—had its moment in the spotlight. And just when it seemed like the trend might be fading, Ariana Grande brought it roaring back while channeling Glinda the Good Witch for Wicked. But here’s the thing: what if Barbiecore never actually went anywhere?

Enter Chrissy Teigen.

The model, cookbook author and queen of relatable glam recently gave her 41 million Instagram followers a sneak peek at her Coachella weekend wardrobe—and it was peak Barbiecore. Chrissy posed next to a rolling rack overflowing with pink pieces, fully embracing the trend from head to toe.

She wore a light pink sweater set featuring shorts and a matching long-sleeve cardigan, paired with fringed pale pink boots that hit mid-calf. On the rack next to her? More pink perfection. There was a hot pink dress with a bejeweled collar and bow, a striped shorts set in soft pastels and a mixed-pattern piece that combined pink gingham with light pink and bold green stripes.

On the floor sat even more footwear options—bright fuchsia mules, hot pink booties and a few other rosy-toned pairs, ready for the desert.

“Coachella weekend 3 here we come,” she captioned the post.

And if that wasn’t enough proof, the Coachella post was essentially Chrissy doubling down. In a birthday post for her daughter Luna shared earlier in the month, the pair looked very pretty-in-pink together. In the sweet photo, the Lip Sync Battle alum alum wears a strapless blush pink dress with floral details on the bodice, while Luna matches the vibe in her own pale pink spaghetti strap dress.

So yeah—Barbiecore didn’t just resurface. It quietly stayed, evolved and lived on in closets like Chrissy’s. And honestly? I'm taking notes.
