I spotted flapper-worthy feathers galore at the 2025 Emmys, but there were two other outfit details that totally dominated the red carpet—and they took classic silhouettes to a whole new level. From Gayle King to Lisa, cape sleeves and sculpted hips were everywhere tonight. Here's all the proof:
These 2 Outfit Details Dominated the Emmys Red Carpet (& They Brought Major Drama)
10s across the board

Gayle King is no stranger to the red carpet, and she stunned in a bright orange gown. But the detail I zoomed in on was her pleated cape sleeves that offered a wing-like look to her ensemble.

Comedy writer Ariel Dumas showed us the right way to have fun with cape sleeves. The pleated peach number paired well with her peach-toned makeup—she's nominated tonight for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The Studio star Keyla Monterroso Mejia looked gorge in a ruby red gown with her own stylish sheer cape sleeves. The Apple TV+ series is nominated for five awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series.

Severance actress Sarah Bock (aka Miss Huang) also brought the sleeve drama in a baby blue gown that paired beautifully with her gemstone heels and drop earrings.

Haute hips ahead! Paradise actress Krys Marshall accentuated hers with a horn-like embellishment in Sebastian Gunawan and it's giving "Greek god fashion" as one fan puts it. The sculpted hips and wrapped design make this look worthy of the best-dressed list, IMO.

The Studio star Chase Sui Wonders was a *wonder* in Thom Brown. The structured bodice and pronounced hips are a match made in fashion heaven.

The Pitt star Isa Briones ditched her scrubs for a lime green corset gown and the unique shape was a nice addition to the red carpet.

Last but not least, my favorite look of the night takes the crown for the best sculpted gown. White Lotus star Lisa channeled her inner Glinda in a pink Lever Couture design that truly wowed.
