Amazon Drops Official Trailer (& Poster) for Camila Cabello’s ‘Cinderella’

It’s been over two years since we first got wind of Camila Cabello’s new role as one of our favorite princesses, Cinderella. And now, we finally have footage from the musical.

Amazon Prime just dropped a first-look trailer for the upcoming live-action Cinderella remake, which is set to premiere on September 3 and includes original songs by Cabello.

The streaming service released a 3-minute-clip for the film, which features Cabello as “Ella,” a girl looking to start life not “confined to her basement” by designing signature dresses. Unfortunately, this is no easy feat thanks to her wicked stepmother. That is, until her fabulous godparent gets involved. Of course, she also meets a handsome prince along the way.

Watch the trailer below.

In addition to the footage, the streaming platform also released the first official poster, which showcases Cabello holding the infamous glass slipper as she leans on the shoulder of Prince Robert (Nicholas Galitzine).

Amazon’s official synopsis reads, “From Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect), Cinderella is a modern musical with a bold take on the story you grew up with. Our ambitious heroine has big dreams and with the help of her Fab G, she perseveres to make them come true.”

In addition to Cabello and Galitzin, Cinderella also stars Billy Porter (Fab G, the fairy godparent), Idina Menzel (Cinderella’s stepmother), Pierce Brosnan (King Rowan) and Minnie Driver (Queen Beatrice). John Mulaney and James Corden are rounding out the cast as mice who (spoiler alert!) transform into footmen.

Now that we’ve seen the costumes, heard the music and gotten to know Fab G a little better, we can’t wait until September.
