Britney Spears Walked Herself Down the Aisle in Her Wedding to Sam Asghari

Britney Spears is stronger than yesterday, and she demonstrated that by pulling out a major power move at her wedding.

After months of anticipation, the singer finally tied the knot on Thursday with her boyfriend of over 5 years, Sam Asghari. The two first announced they were engaged back in September of 2021, and earlier this week, they made things official with an intimate ceremony that included star-studded guests, a Donatella Versace-designed wedding gown and more.

However, one of the most notable parts of the ceremony was revealed by a source who talked with People magazine, who said that Spears actually walked herself down the aisle as Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” soundtracked the moment. “Britney walked herself down the aisle,” they said. “She looked absolutely stunning in her main dress.” (She had three outfit changes apparently, nbd.)

The insider added, “As soon as she walked down the aisle and saw Sam, she had the biggest smile. She cried several times during the ceremony, but it was all happy tears.”

The guest list for the “Toxic” singer's wedding was like a who's-who's of the entertainment world, with major celebs like Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and more making an appearance.

Last fall, Spears was freed from the 13-year conservatorship she had been placed under, where her father, Jamie Spears, was put in control of major aspects of her life, including her finances and career decisions. So, this could explain why the singer's dad was not in attendance at the wedding.

However, according to People's source, Spears had the “fairytale wedding” she had always wanted. “She is very excited to be married,” they said. She looks forward to a future with Sam.”
