Britney Spears just had the fairytale wedding of her dreams earlier this month, when she and her husband, Sam Asghari, officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Spears's home in Los Angeles.

And while we're still thinking about Spears's radiant Versace dress (and that high-profile guest list), we found ourselves wanting to know more about her current beau. The pair first announced that they were engaged back in September 2021, after around 5 years of being together. But who is the man that Spears can now call her husband? Here's everything you need to know about Sam Asghari.

1. Who Is Sam Asghari?

Sam Asghari was born March 3, 1994 in Tehran, Iran and he moved to the U.S. to live with his father in 2006. According to IMDB, he played football when he was in high school and that is where he began taking acting and drama classes as well.

Currently, Asghari works as a model, fitness expert and actor. He recently nabbed small parts in shows like Hacks and Black Monday, as well as a role in the movie Can You Keep a Secret? Meanwhile, he offers regular workout regimens and nutrition advice on his fitness Instagram account @asgharifitness.

2. How Did He And Britney Spears Meet?

The couple first met in 2016, when Asghari was hired as an extra for Spears's “Slumber Party” music video. The fitness instructor told Men's Health that meeting the pop star gave him “butterflies.” After they were introduced, the pair ended up going out on a sushi date and the rest was history.

3. Are They Married?

Yes!

Back in September 2021, Spears announced that she and Asghari were engaged with a surprise video on her Instagram account. “I can’t f**king believe it!!!!!!” she wrote in her caption. In the announcement video, Spears showed off her Roman Malayev-designed ring, and Asghari was heard in the background saying, “Look at that. Do you like it?” To which Spears excitedly responded, “Yes!”

Then, on June 9, 2022, Spears and Asghari officially said “I do.” The pair held the ceremony at Spears's home in Los Angeles and the 60-person guest list included such major names as Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton.

4. Do They Have Kids?

Spears and Asghari do not have any kids yet, but Spears is currently a mother to two sons—Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15—who she had during her previous marriage to Kevin Federline.
