The Products Zoë Kravitz’s ‘Big Little Lies’ Makeup Artist Uses to Make Her Glow

The homes (Celeste’s glass beachfront mansion!) and fashion (Renata’s sweaters!) are covetable. But the most impressive thing about Big Little Lies? Bonnie’s luminous skin.

With summer and the BLL season two premiere right around the corner, we wouldn’t mind recreating Bonnie’s (played by Zoë Kravitz) no-makeup-makeup look at home. So, when we spoke with Big Little Lies makeup department head Michelle Radow and Kravitz’s on-set personal makeup artist Miho Suzuki, we had more than a few questions. Thankfully, they were happy to spill their secrets.

“I wanted to keep [Kravitz’s] skin as raw as possible, so I did a wash of KOH GEN DO moisture foundation and YSL TOUCHÉ ECLAT on necessary areas. I used hardly any powder as anti-shine,” Suzuki told us. “I touched up using TEMPTU Perfect Canvas Airbrush Foundation throughout the day. It sets matte enough to keep the skin look natural and raw, and it doesn’t build up at all.”

The foundation Suzuki uses on Kravitz is available on Amazon ($36) and comes in 24 shades. In addition to being inclusive for all skin colors, the long-wear, water-resistant foundation is filled with natural anti-aging products. It’s infused with amino acids, peptides, goji berries and antioxidants. The white birch ingredient improves the tone, texture and clarity of skin while brightening it and the gotu koala extract helps to maintain firmness and elasticity. You can apply it with an airbrush tool like Suzuki, fingers or a makeup-brush and blender, so it’s great to take on the go.
