Johnny Galecki Shares Emotional Video from the ‘Big Bang Theory’ Set

Say goodbye to apartment 4A.

The Big Bang Theory dwelling you’ve come to know and love is a thing of the past, as the show’s star Johnny Galecki shared on Instagram today.

The 44-year-old actor, who plays Leonard Hofstadter on the hit CBS series, posted a video of the set being broken down on the Warner Bros. lot ahead of the series finale airing.

“Breaking down the @bigbangtheory_cbs sets on Warner Bros Stage 25. Coincidental soundtrack apropos,” Galecki captioned the video, referencing The Beatles song “Help!” playing in the background.

The Big Bang Theory cast wrapped filming of the final episode last week in front of a studio audience. It was an emotional affair in which Galecki reportedly praised the writers and fans saying, “You’ve been the best fans for 12 years. You’re part of our family.”

Afterward, the cast and crew got all dressed up and celebrated with a ritzy red carpet party. Shortly thereafter, Galecki announced he and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Alaina Meyer, are expecting their first child together.

Galecki spilled the baby beans on Instagram, writing, “We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.”

The one-hour Big Bang Theory series finale airs on CBS on Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.  We hate goodbyes.
