Beyoncé Changes Her Website to Feature Childhood Snap of Meghan Markle in Honor of the Duchess's Bday

Beyoncé is marking a very special day—Meghan Markle’s 40th birthday. To celebrate her pal’s milestone, she made a major update to the home page of her official website.

The Duchess of Sussex turned 40 years old on Wednesday and some members of the Bee Hive were quick to notice a sweet birthday message on Queen Bey’s personal site. When you arrive at the homepage of Beyoncé.com, the first thing you see is a childhood photo of Markle wearing a blue dress and a headband. Bey accompanied the snap with a quick note that reads, “Happy birthday Meghan Markle.”

Turns out, the duchess also shares her special day with two other icons and friends of Beyoncé, Barack Obama and actor Michael Ealy. Of course, the Single Ladies singer made sure to give them both a shout out as well. As with Markle’s, the other tributes also included throwback photos. The second post read, “Happy birthday President Barack Obama,” while the third added, “Happy birthday Michael Ealy.”

This isn’t the first time Bey dedicated a portion of her website to Markle. Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Lemonade singer posted a sweet message to Markle on her website. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership," the home page read. “We are all strengthened by you." In addition to the kind words, the post also included a snap of Queen Bey and Markle at the U.K. premiere for Beyoncé's movie The Lion King back in July 2019.

We wonder if Beyoncé was one of the 40 women recruited to participate in Meghan’s new birthday initiative, 40x40.
