‘God’s Plan’ by Drake Named Best Rap Song at the 2019 Grammy Awards

Today, the 61st annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. During the ceremony, Drake won the highly coveted award for Best Rap Song for “God’s Plan,” which was written by Aubrey Graham, Daveon Jackson, Brock Korsan, Ron LaTour, Matthew Samuels and Noah Shebib.

The track beat out “King’s Dead” by Kendrick Lamar, “Lucky You” by Eminem featuring Joyner Lucas, “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott, Drake, Big Hawk and Swae Lee and “Win” by Jay Rock.

The Grammys debuted the Best Rap Song category in 2004. Previous winners include “Humble.” by Kendrick Lamar, “Hotline Bling” by Drake, “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar, “I” by Kendrick Lamar, “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, “Niggas in Paris” by Jay-Z and Kanye West and “All of the Lights” by Kanye West, Rihanna, Kid Cudi and Fergie.
