While I have a general appreciation for the outdoors, I can’t stand the bugs that come with it during the summertime. I know I’m not alone in this plight, which is exactly why I’m glad I discovered this handy-dandy solar bug zapper (~~$86~~; $70) on TikTok Shop, which has loads of products discounted for their competing Prime Day sale. The TikTok shop is an e-commerce feature within the app that allows you to shop for products from your favorite brands and creators through shop tabs, videos and livestreams, making shopping as you scroll a total breeze.

So, what’s the cause of the commotion behind this buzzy little zapper that’s had over 16,000 people purchase it? For starters, it has a high-intensity light bulb with a wavelength of 365 to 395nm that attracts bugs (particularly mosquitoes) into its 4500V high-voltage electrified grid, zapping bugs sans any chemicals and giving you peace of mind in the process. It also comes with a lengthy extension cord that allows you to hang it up or stake it into the ground wherever you need it. The helpful accessories don't stop there, either.

Per the brand, there’s a built-in smart light sensor included where you can switch between nighttime mosquito mode, or continuous 24-hour mosquito control, and the solar-powered battery is a powerful one, giving you up to 12 hours of power after a full charge. If you want it to work to full capacity while it’s charging, simply switch it to auto mode. And there's no need to worry if it gets wet, as it features an IPx4 waterproof rating designed to withstand the harshest of weather conditions.

Oh, and did I mention it comes with a brush, a safety net *and* an anti-leakage system as well? I could keep going, but how about hearing from people who have tried it out themselves? "This product works so fast and very well. I was absolutely amazed by its performance. I think my favorite feature is the auto sensor, so that you don’t have to turn it on and off all the time," writes one TikTok shopper. Another adds, "I absolutely love this bug zapper!
