This Interior Design Site Is an Introvert’s Dream (and It’s Actually Affordable)

It has long been a dream of mine to have a professional redesign my home into something you’d see in a glossy editorial spread. I always assumed, however, that hiring an interior designer was way out of my budget. Turns out, that’s not necessarily true.

In order to transform our sad, empty studio space into a cozy living room for PureWow’s new beauty video series, The Glow Up, our senior beauty editor Jenny Jin looked to the experts at Modsy, a digital interior design company intended for anyone looking to redecorate, regardless of budget.

How to Create a Totally One-of-a-Kind Personalized Bookcase with EQ3

Unlike traditional interior design companies, Modsy is an entirely digital process. No IRL meetups or conversations you’re not feeling. All you need to do is upload photos and measurements of your space and let them know about your decor style, specific needs and budget. (Don’t worry, Modsy has a handy quiz available to assist with nailing down your style.) After that, you’ll receive two custom design plans that you can revise with the help of designers or shop as is.

When it came to Jenny’s studio, she had a big empty space and a few vague ideas—comfy armchairs and the color seafoam green were must-haves, but the rest was up in the air. The Modsy team took it from there, devising a plan that embodied Jenny’s personal style, what she needed in the space and her budget.

Right now, Modsy offers three design options ranging from a $69 option that includes two revisions in one room to a $349 option with multi-room unlimited revisions and more one-on-one service.

Once you and the design team have a final look that you love, you can purchase as much or as little of the suggested furniture as you like (often with some pretty great deals and discounts).

Best of all, you never have to leave your couch to do it all.
