My aunt once told me that when you find the right vacuum, it could change your life. She wasn’t wrong. At a young age, I couldn’t appreciate her sentiment quite like I do today—a vacuum that works doesn’t just guarantee cleaner floors, it protects your time, your energy and, frankly, your knees. (Let’s just say, as a mom of two, I spend far too many hours manually picking Cheerios up off the floor.)
That’s why I was intrigued by Dyson’s new PencilVac Fluffycones. Beyond the kind of adorable name (a nod to one of the attachments—more on that later), Dyson also dubbed its latest stick vac the “world’s slimmest vacuum cleaner”—and one that somehow manages to impressively fit the motor, battery and dustbin all inside the 1.5-inch handle. From the moment I powered it on, I knew it was not just a standout, but a household appliance that I would reach for on repeat. Little did I know my entire fam would come to rely on it, too.
