And Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2023 Is...

Step aside, October Mist 1495. There’s a brand-new hue that’s taking over the home décor industry.

Benjamin Moore just revealed that the 2023 Color of the Year is—drumroll, please—Raspberry Blush. It also launched eight curated playlists on Spotify to represent the palette.

The popular paint and coatings brand announced the exciting news in a press release and described it as a “vivacious shade of coral tinged with pink.” The choice was “inspired by an artist’s desire to communicate through color, shape and sound.”

Raspberry Blush can be used in many ways, depending on how much color you’re willing to incorporate. For a dramatic makeover, try adding a pop of color to your powder room or living room. For a less bold look, you can include Raspberry Blush furnishings or accent pieces to a neutral space.

As Benjamin Moore points out, the color “enlivens the senses with an electric optimism.”

The statement read, “Never a backdrop, Raspberry Blush is the definition of charismatic color. This unapologetic shade of red orange had us thinking: bold, bolder, boldest. This sentiment flows through the rest of the palette as we immerse ourselves in hues that make a statement.”

FYI, last year’s Color of the Year was October Mist 1495, “a gently shaded sage that quietly anchors while encouraging creative expression through color.” The 2021 shade was Aegean Teal, a “sunbaked” blue-green.

Welcome to the party, Raspberry Blush.
