You can hang paintings in your hallway, switch up your living room throw pillows and make your dining room feel special with the simple switch of a tablecloth. But when it comes to elevating a bathroom? Short of a full renovation, there's only so much you can do—especially if it's on the smaller side.
Having recently moved into a (rented) new place with an upstairs bathroom that feels like it may have originally been a broom closet, I was prepared to accept the bare-bones powder room as it was—short on frills, but able to get the job done. Still, I needed somewhere to put my sinkside essentials: toothbrushes, toothpaste, the sunscreen I apply immediately after my morning vitamin C serum. Given the lack of surface space surrounding the sink, I thought I'd have to settle for a small cup—or worse, loosey-goosey items scattered wherever they could fit.
But then I came across an affordable Amazon vanity organizer that not only seemed like the perfect storage solution, but also a way to make my minimalist little bathroom feel instantly chicer. (Check out that polished gold knob at the top!) Reader, I bought it, and it worked like a charm. Now that these similar models are few bucks cheaper for Amazon Prime Day, I just might grab another one for all my makeup brushes and eyeliners.
