Say bye-bye to cashmere sweaters and knee-high boots and hello to colorful dresses and comfortable sandals—spring is creeping up. If you've been keeping up with the latest trends, you know that they run the gamut from academia to grunge, with colors like espresso brown and Crayola blue ruling the charts. As we look ahead to warmer weather, it may be time to start updating your wardrobe. Thankfully, you need only to make a trip to Zara’s website to get all your spring shopping done for the season. The beloved brand has one of the most impressive collections, featuring the perfect balance of trendy and timeless items.

But with so many great pieces to choose from, where do you start? Well, I combed through hundreds of outfits and handpicked just seven Zara pieces for spring that will make you look *and* feel like a million bucks. Personally, I'm adding this inventive, lighter coat ($299), this unconventional blazer ($170) and this light jumper ($60) to my cart as we speak. The collection is quite versatile, and I love that while trendy, many of the pieces are spins on classic silhouettes that won’t feel dated next season. That said, you'd better get to shopping because these must-have styles won't take themselves to checkout.

If the Golden Globes were any indication, primary colors will reign in 2026. Personally, I like my primary colors a little less…vibrant, and this powdery blue hue makes the trend feel wearable to me. It’s a wool/alpaca blend with a peaked lapel collar, pockets and tonal lining. As someone who buys a lot of basics, I appreciate the veer away from a traditional double-breasted cut in favor of a single button with a diagonal cut. It feels fresh and interesting, in addition to being suitable for those still-chilly March days.

In keeping on the color theme, this green, 100 percent wool sweater stood out to me. It’s a classic crew cut, but the vibrant-yet-earthy tone promises to be anything but boring. I love wearing my sweaters as shirts, and also have committed to avoiding mixed materials. This jumper ticks both boxes.

2026 is also the year of the poet. I’m taking that as a sign to buy some blazers, but I do not want to look like I’m teaching a freshman seminar. The traditional tweed gets a makeover with an unconventional cut—high collar, three-button closure that more resembles a cardigan and a slightly nipped waist.

Last year the Victorian collar had a major moment—and I think it’s going to stick around for a while. It’s such a fun, dramatic twist on the button-up shirt, and because it leans on a classic silhouette, you can still wear it in a year or five. One of my favorite purchases last year was a shirt like this. I’m loving Zara’s take with this big bow that feels very reminiscent of Dior’s recent collections. (It’s also 100 percent cotton.)

The poets are donning trousers, but that doesn’t mean they have to be plain. These striped pants play with convention with their brown/ecru color pairing, pinstripes and lower rise. Pair them with a tonal, fitted sweater to get you through the brisker spring mornings.

Quarter-zips have been a thing, and I like this nod in the form of a light-colored cable-knit that is great for the winter-to-spring transition. The wool-blended piece has a ribbed trim and polo neckline, blending dressy and casual. I’d style this with a half-tuck into jeans or trousers, with a trench coat thrown on top.

I know slimmer cuts are coming back in vogue, but there’s no denying that a pair of wide-leg trousers makes any outfit feel just a little more elevated. (Think about it! You rarely ever see skinny pants on the red carpet or formal events.) Brown is a color that’s here to stay, and the swishy, flowing fabric would make a great foil to a top that’s more structured.
