‘Creed III’ Star Tessa Thompson Shows Off Swoon-Worthy Vintage Style on Instagram

Tessa Thompson’s character Bianca may have a bomb fashion sense in Creed III, but the 39-year-old actress is showing that she’s just as equipped in the wardrobe category IRL.

This week on Instagram, the Creed star posted a photo slideshow filled with an array of stunning looks designed by the talented Vivienne Westwood from Aralda Vintage.

In the very first photo, Thompson is seen standing inside a balcony door, serving all-grown-up schoolgirl chic in a plaid skirt and jacket with a black corset top and a matching pair of suede knee-high boots.

In the next snap, the Dear White People alum owns the room in a furry, red sparkly blazer and skirt with a strapless leather dress underneath. As for her hair? Thompson is rocking a straight chestnut-colored hairstyle with the ends slightly curled.

Many of her fans couldn’t get enough of her baby hair, which gave 1920s flapper girl with a tight, slick curl. Thompson wrote in the caption, “What’s ur flavor: vintage @viviennewestwood via @aralda.vintage."

Speaking of fashion, Thompson recently opened up about her Creed character’s wardrobe in a special appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Sorry to Bother You star reprised her role as Bianca Taylor in the latest installment in the Creed franchise, which premiered in movie theaters last Friday.

In the candid interview, Thompson revealed she loves working with her on-screen love interest Michael B. Jordan, 36, who also returns as Adonis Creed in the new movie. But, one thing they bumped heads about on set was her character Bianca’s wardrobe.

“[Michael] has a say, of course, as the director, of anything that happens in the film, and he’s very specific about clothing, which I didn't know,” the actress explained. “We never disagreed about anything except for sometimes what shoes I would wear. He just has ideas about ladies’ fashion.”

She added, “There was a party scene where I really wanted to wear something. I wanted to wear all black because I'm secretly goth. I never got to be in high school, so now I am. And he was like, ‘No, no, no. You’re not [going to] wear that.’”

But now, she agrees with Jordan’s style choice, saying she can “admit when [she’s] wrong.”
