Old Navy new arrivals for fall.
Old Navy

I won't lie to you, I hate almost everything about fall. The hot-and-cold weather, the pumpkin spice drinks and the maple desserts—call me a contrarian, but it's just not my season. This year, however, I actually have something to look forward to—on the fashion front, at least—and it's all thanks to Old Navy. The beloved brand just dropped a lineup of new fall arrivals, including an incredibly high-end looking canvas barn jacket ($60) and a striped puff-sleeve sweater ($35; $24) I can't wait to cozy into. Let's just say that if I—a self-proclaimed fall hater—am already falling hard for Old Navy's autumn styles, then you definitely will.

If you like the sound of that, you'll love the sound the virtual cash register makes when it rings up each of these must-haves at less than $65—cha-ching! Ahead, shop 12 of my favorite pieces (and feel free to thank me later).

Unlike some other floral-print dresses, this cotton and viscose rayon mini is neither dowdy nor boring. Featuring tiered shirred seams, flutter sleeves and a swingy silhouette, the style has an effortlessly flirty and flowy nature that makes it seem like it came straight out of Woodstock. One reviewer confirmed that it's "super lightweight and breathable" for the summer, but is also "so cute styled with a jacket in the fall." I can definitely see myself pairing it with suede knee-high boots to lean into the boho vibe.

The polka dot trend has been going strong since the spring, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. With that said, I've got my eye on this button-down top with a relaxed fit and ultra-flattering princess seams, which help give any figure an hourglass shape. It's made of a viscose rayon material that won't "make you hot or uncomfortable," per to a satisfied shopper. And it's machine-washable, so you can wear it on repeat through next season.

If you, like me, have been searching for the perfect pair of jeans for next season, look no further than this extra high-waisted style. Between the straight legs and snatched waist, they have real potential to become your new go-tos, as they have for many shoppers. They are available in a wide range of sizes (from 00 through 30, to be exact) and a slew of washes, starting at $45.

Not willing to spend hundreds on a designer barn jacket? Same. That's why I'm wasting no time securing this affordable-yet-high-quality option with a cool corduroy collar and functional patch pockets. The cotton and spandex style also features a full-snap front, so it's no wonder shoppers say they can't wait to wear it this fall (including me).

I'm adding this flutter-sleeve top to my fall capsule wardrobe, and it's not just because it has a flattering split V-neck. I'm actually obsessed with all-over textured Swiss dot pattern, which lends it an elevated look for a fraction of the price. Because did I mention that this cotton style with pintuck pleats is currently on sale for less than $30? Well, I just did, so you know what to do.

Another frock with a fall-ready floral print, this maxi features a tie-back waist, helping you achieve a cinched shape simply by pulling it tighter. But here's why one reviewer doesn't regret buying it: "The seams at the top make it flattering, and the length is so nice. Reminds me of a classic '90s maxi dress." I couldn't agree more, which is why I'm definitely buying it on sale.

To say this sweater—which is made of a blend of cotton, recycled polyester, nylon and spandex—is just as cozy as it is chic would be an understatement. In fact, it has already racked up over 100 5-star reviews, but I'm not surprised. As one customer said, it has a "nice retro vibe," with thick stripes that totally remind me of Taylor Swift's go-to rugby shirts. While I'm particularly obsessed with this navy/red combo, it's also available in two additional colorways (but they're selling fast!).

This V-neck sweater dress can be dressed up or down for different occasions, so there's no question in my mind whether I (and you) will get a ton of wear out of it. Layer it with button-down underneath for a day at the office, or throw on a belt and leather boots to hit the town in knit comfort. And, according to one reviewer, the cotton, recycled polyester, nylon and spandex-blend piece won't leave you itching (phew!).

I'm not the only one on the PureWow team swooning over Old Navy's new offerings. Pamela Masin, affiliate strategy director, tells me she just purchased these trendy barrel jeans from the retailer and is so excited to don them. They have a tapered leg and slightly cropped cut to offset the relaxed fit, and are made from a blend of cotton and recycled cotton, with a tiny touch of spandex for a bit of give.

Meanwhile, PureWow Senior Commerce Editor Stephanie Maida says she's running straight for this ruffled shirt. "I have been on the hunt for the perfect boho top for months now, and this one seems to fit the ball. It's got plenty of hippie flair, without being so voluminous as to overtake my petite frame," she explains. Indeed, the flowy satin style hits right at the hip for a flattering look on bodies of all shapes and sizes.

A not-so-basic basic that I'm currently buying in bulk? This fitted cotton tee, which is constructed with 4 percent elastane to ensure that it hugs the figure in all the right ways. Between its classic crew neck and tuckable length, this pick is as versatile as it gets, whether you nab it in this brown-and-black striped colorway or any of the other shades of the rainbow it comes in.

No early fall wardrobe is complete without a chunky cardigan to protect you from the morning chill. Enter: this slouchy cable-knit cutie. Not only does it nail the Academia vibe of the season with its classic V-neck cut and varsity-worthy contrast trim, it's also made of 100 percent cotton yarn, so you can expect it to feel soft and cozy but still totally breathable.
