Meet the Boots That Everyone in Dallas Will Be Wearing Soon
Custom couture heirlooms that you can also wear to the ranch, a Wade Bowen concert or the Cattle Baron’s Ball? We know. You need. So let us introduce you to Miron Crosby, the bespoke designer brand with a new shop in Highland Park Village. And psst… We have a feeling everyone in Dallas will be talking about it soon.
Who exactly is Miron Crosby? Well, that’s the brand. And behind the brand are born-and-raised West Texas sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means, who wanted to bring one-of-a-kind heirloom items to Dallas women. Their boots—hand-lasted by their cousin’s 160-year-old manufacturer, Rios of Mercedes—are definitely worth passing down from generation to generation.
Sold. How do I get a pair? If you’re going custom, you actually sit down at the boutique’s design table and explore the “magic box,” which contains all the leather swatches, thread bobbins and acrylic tiles printed with signature fonts. You also have to choose from 22 colors and decide whether to include a monogram, ranch brand or logo. You can even have a handwritten message sewn into the lining of the boots (awwww). Pricing starts at $1,500 for custom pairs. It usually takes around four to five months to get your boots.
What if you want your boots now? If you don't want to wait for the custom process, Miron Crosby also sells ready-to-wear boots (from $850) in a variety of colors, skins and styles. Think full-quill ostrich, stingray and Nile crocodile belly. Whether you prefer the iconic tall cowboy boot, the midi or the shorty, chances are good that you can leave the store that same day with something you love.
Miron Crosby is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
