Meghan Markle’s Pumpkin-Picking Attire Is as Low-Key as It Is Perfect for Fall

It was the surprise video drop we didn’t know we needed: Over the weekend, Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes reel of the Sussex fam—Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet all included—on a trip to a California-based pumpkin patch. There was a corn maze! Also, pumpkin-carving! Even Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland joined for part of the fun. But one of the best parts was seeing Meghan’s country-inspired recipe for fall dressing: Skinny jeans (similar here, $148), a quilted coat (similar here, $200) and knee-high riding boots (similar here, $199).

The outfit IDs came swiftly. (Royal fans are expert sleuths.) The coat is Anine Bing (alas, it’s no longer available) while her riding boots are from Co (these are still in stock), but it’s the versatility of the styles that make the look feel extra accessible.

Take the coat for example: A quilted barn-style jacket feels elevated and polished, but also easy to throw on and go. In Meghan’s case, her coat comes with two front-facing oversize pockets, too. (Just what every mom needs for collecting kid-related treasures picked up along the way.)

Her denim is black, but also a skinny silhouette long-favored by millennials. (The perfect design to tuck effortlessly into a tall boot.) Speaking of which, Meghan’s Co style is pricey ($1,195), but the loose fit of the riding boot makes it feel more low-key. Also, sturdy. (For the pumpkin patch, you’re going to want a style with a bit of a tread.)
