Meghan Markle’s Iconic Black Halo Jackie O. Dress Is Majorly on Sale
Thanks to the Saks Friends & Family sale, we’re closer to replicating Meghan Markle’s wardrobe than ever.
As you may remember, a month before the now 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex wed Prince Harry in a lavish Windsor Castle wedding, she stepped out in a classic-with-a-twist sheath dress from Los Angeles label Black Halo.
Known as the “Jackie O.” dress and named for another example of American royalty, the chic staple captured the attention of Markle’s fans immediately. (Celebs like Blake Lively, Scarlett Johansson and Kim Kardashian even snagged their own versions.) And, although the dress basically flew off shelves at the time, it’s now back in stock and on sale.
Sure, you might not really have anywhere to wear it now, but who knows what awaits you when social distancing is a thing of the past? If you need some outfit inspo to tide you over until then, the Duchess of Sussex sported the frock while attending a women’s empowerment event at the Royal Aeronautical Society. She paired it with a small black suede Gucci horseshoe clutch, black strappy Aquazzura pointed-toe heels and a polished up-do. All in all, it was a winning look.
The cocktail dress typically retails for $375, but it’s currently 25 percent off and can be yours for $282 thanks to the Saks’ Friends and Family sale.
The much-lusted-after gabardine number is impeccably tailored and features a draped asymmetric neckline with cap sleeves, a belted waist and a concealed zipper at the back. And, in addition to the black version Markle wore, the frock is also available in cobalt blue, a merlot-ish red and white.
If all else fails, you could always wear it to your next Zoom meeting…
