Admittedly, how comfortable these joggers are means nothing if they won’t be a good fit for you. So let’s break them down first. Available in sizes 0 through 14, the Align joggers work with a vaiety of heights, from petite to tall, with options of a 26-, 28- or 31-inch inseam. They're available in plenty of neutral colors, too, to make putting together your travel look totally effortless, though the 26- and 31-inch inseams have a more limited selection.
As for their design, they're cut with a high-waisted fit and feature the brand's signature Nulu fabric, which is sweat-wicking and has a four-way stretch to it. And, yes, they do have side pockets, one of which features a card sleeve that would be great for stashing your hotel room key once you’ve checked in.
What It Was Like Traveling in the Joggers for 20+ Hours
While I most often find myself flying cross-country to visit family over the holidays, this summer I took an international trip to Prague, which (thanks to some unfortunate delays) ended up resulting in more than 20 hours of travel time on the way home—and I was so glad I saved these pants for that portion of the trip. They were lightweight enough that they didn't make me feel overheated even when my gate was being changed back and forth at the airport, and the fabric didn't stretch out despite being worn for so long.
But what really made the Align joggers just so much more comfortable than other pants I've worn is its wide, smooth waistband. Thanks to its high-rise, smooth fit, I never had to adjust it under my seatbelt while in flight, and it stayed in place while rushing through security checkpoints. Plus, the waistband has a slightly less tight fit than the Align leggings, so I never felt constricted in them. And to top it off, the joggers were recently updated to be roomier overall, which I definitely appreciated, as it only added to their comfort. (But don't worry, they're not so baggy that they're unflattering.) The only downside for me is that the Nulu fabric is a synthetic nylon/lycra elastane blend that isn't as breathable as something like organic cotton would be, but it's definitely not a big enough issue to keep me from wearing them.
