The best way to battle the winter cold is to have some buttery-soft cashmere in your arsenal. Cashmere is the epitome of sophistication, and lucky for you, this crewneck sweater comes in more than 15 colors to match nearly anything in your wardrobe. As an eco-friendly bonus, J.Crew supports responsible production of cashmere and partners with the “Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), a nonprofit that promotes sustainable agricultural development across the globe.” (Not to mention that J.Crew was the organization's first U.S. member.) Great for layering or to sport on its own, this number is top of J.Crew’s best-seller list, so naturally it’s top of our list too—especially since it’s neutral enough for anyone to wear regardless of gender. Many reviews report that it runs true-to-size, but size up if you’re more into an oversize fit.

So you wanna buy new, but have the look and feel of a well-worn vintage button-down? Look no further than the relaxed broken-in organic cotton oxford shirt. Made from organic cotton grown without toxic chemicals or GMOs, this shirt is soft yet durable, and has “been washed to feel like an old favorite right from the jump,” according to the brand. Comfortable fit without all the work? Count us in.

This isn’t your grandpa’s corduroy. Made with enough give and stretch in a super soft fabric, you’ll be reaching for these on the daily. They come in five different neutral and jewel-toned colorways and are machine washable. “Best corduroy pants I've tried to date,” one shopper raves. “Perfect amount of stretch, warm while also allowing for breathability. Was not originally expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised and bought another pair.” In fact, many reviewers report buying a second pair after falling in love with their first.

Nothing says we’re ready for bedtime more than a matching pair of pajamas. This structured, slim-fit set is made to be comfortable yet refined. Plus, it’s got a crisp and strong poplin weave design. Perfect for lounging, the top and bottom are casual and sophisticated, so even if you’ve got company over, you’ll still be dressed for the occasion. Made from 100 percent cotton with an elastic waistband and open-fly front, these machine-washable pieces will have you ready for the football watch party, a gamer night in or just kicking it back with the guys. Snag one of the four colorways before they’re gone.

Absolutely no wardrobe is complete without a pair of durable and handsome 1930s-style penny loafers. This pair is constructed with leather uppers and soles and has an unlined interior made to soften with continuous wear. Pick from a deep whiskey shade, a classic black or a muted natural brown. One reviewer shares, “I have several Camden loafers and these may be my favorite. The color is classically rich. I got the whiskey color. They'll go with so many outfits I have. The leather seems like a medium thickness and nicely put together. Today was my second time wearing them and they feel broken-in already.” Just note that they run about a half size larger, so order accordingly.

If you’re looking for your new everyday pant, the 770™ Straight-Fit Stretch Chino Pant is it. We love the straight-cut fit for its casual, workwear feel. The design is constructed with Stretch on Demand technology that creates durable flexibility and they’re made with 7.9-ounce twill fabric, making them suitable for year-round wear. This pair also has bar tacking on belt loops and stress points for durability and angled hand pockets for hassle-free entry. Plus, if you’re not into the straight-leg style, this pair of chino pants also comes in a variety of other fits, like slim, skinny and athletic tapered for versatile wear (and more than 13 colorways).

The Secret Wash Cotton Poplin Shirt was created in 2005 as a re-imagining of the standard 100 percent cotton button-down shirt. Not only is it crafted with 100 percent cotton, it also uses 100s two-ply technology (multiple strands of finer “100s” yarns are twisted together to create a stronger, smoother and more durable garment). This piece also has been pre-washed in a J.Crew proprietary multi-step process to achieve the best worn-in feel—hence the ‘Secret Wash’ part of the name. It’s also been a mainstay at J.Crew for almost two decades and comes in a variety of colorways and multiple fits, like classic, slim, slim untucked, tall and relaxed. No wonder people keep coming back for more..

The fully-lined Ludlow Topcoat is made from a wool and cashmere blend that will keep you extra toasty during the cold winter months. Though it’s on the pricier end of J.Crew’s selection, we think it’s totally worth it—and buyers agree. One writes, “Warm, elegant and perfect for [New England] winters. SO soft on the outside.” The classic fit is fashioned to be able to be worn over a suit and has a roomier feel from the waist through the chest. It’s a reissue from previous Ludlow styles of J.Crew’s past and is slightly longer than its forbearers. The coat also has angled flaps on waist pockets to keep hands and wrists safe from the elements. All that’s left is to pair it with a statement scarf or hat for fashionable flair.

The Harrington jacket has been worn by the likes of truckers, musicians, movie stars and more. It’s truly an ‘everyman’ coat. The casual yet elevated design can be dressed up or down, and in classic J.Crew fashion, it feels totally lived-in. Available in navy, frosty olive and burnished khaki, it’ll fit nicely into any wardrobe, no matter which neutrals you lean toward. The fully lined garment is made of 100 percent cotton, features a front zip closure, welt pockets (plus an interior pocket) and elastic cuffs and hem for extra protection for when the wind starts a blowin’.

How does one elevate their polo game? Get it in cashmere, of course. J.Crew is staying true to its preppy roots with this sporty number and making the polo an all-season garment. You can grab it in one of five colorways, plus it can even be personalized with a $10 monogram addition. Now no one will be able to steal your coziest asset.

Couch potato? Meet J.Crew’s rib-knit jogger pants. Made with 100 percent cotton and designed to be soft, reliable and exceptionally functional, you’ll never want to take these off. They’ve got the perfect amount of slouch, but are kept secure with a drawstring waistband and traditional ankle cuffs. We’ve been eyeing this dark forest green shade for a casual pop of color.

Inspired by British World War II officers, the MacAllister boot—another relic from J.Crew’s ‘90s era—is made from super supple Italian suede on the upper and a sturdy authentic rubber sole. These puppies are made to mold to your feet and are purposefully left unlined for a casual fit and feel. Snag them in one of two colors, a rich, deep chestnut or a washed gray-brown. Just note that women purchasing the MacAllister boot should order two sizes smaller than their traditional size as they run large.

There’s nothing we love more than a casual suiting moment. J.Crew agrees. In 2017, the brand introduced its Ludlow jacket, aiming to create a solid suit option at a more affordable cost. Goodbye are the days of the $1000 suit. The Ludlow is made from 28 percent fine linen fabric sourced at the Baird McNutt mill, which was founded in 1912 in Ireland. Talk about heritage craftsmanship. It’s unstructured than a traditional suit—for a wider range of movement—but still has those sharp suiting details, like a notched lapel and two-button closure, to elevate the look.

Your winter flannel just got an upgrade. The seaboard soft-knit shirt is a J.Crew fan-favorite and for good reason. Sweater meets shirt in this soft and stretchy piece, a double-woven knit that’s brushed on both sides for extra softness. The brand notes that it’s great for layering, as it runs a bit large. One reviewer writes, “Bought this shirt on a recent extra sale promotion and am furious at myself for not buying other available colors while still in stock. This is the piece that I’ve been waiting for J.Crew to put out ever since Faherty introduced their stretch flannel. This shirt is absolute perfection. I will say though, I usually wear a large in J.Crew and bought a medium with this. Perfect fit so size down.”

We told you barn coats were going to be back this season. J.Crew’s take on the outdoorsy staple dates back to the 1983 catalog, and not much has changed since. The classic piece is made from 100 percent cotton, features a corduroy statement point collar and massive patch pockets to hold everything from your wallet and keys to your phone and any other knickknacks that you might acquire along the way. It’s also fully lined and machine-washable. This fresh take on the classic includes a sturdy washed canvas outer, a yellow, red and blue plaid lining and custom-made buttons to match the previous iteration in a nod to the OG design. What’s not to love?

What if a collegiate cardigan and a fuzzy sweater had a baby? You’d get this Alpaca-Blend V-Neck Cardigan Sweater. Made from 50 percent alpaca and 50 percent recycled polyamide, the garment maintains a soft and “hairy” texture. Think peach fuzz. Great for layering or to wear as a statement piece, this cardigan will have people begging you for a snuggle.

Soles worn through, frayed laces—we just know your sad coffee-run sneakers are begging to be replaced. Enter: these New Balance® 997Rs. The style originated in the ‘90s and wasn’t reintroduced until recently. Now’s your chance to get ahold of a little piece of history. They’re available in three shades, Black, Shadow Grey and–for a pop of color Artic Grey, a brighter navy hue. With a man-made sole and a Nubuck/mesh upper, you’ll be ready for wherever the day takes you, be that the dog park or the local brewery.

One of the best ways to elevate an outfit without a ton of effort is to top it all off with a ball cap. Whether you’re hiding a bad hair day, embracing your sporty side or hiding from the UV rays, this rugged washed cotton canvas cap is the perfect pick. Available in seven colors, from neutrals like burnished khaki and navy to bright pops of color like their saltwater red or porter blue, there’s a little something for everyone. Though it’s a one-size situation, there is a leather-like strap for minor size adjustments.
